Surely by now, if you've been around the internet recently, you'll have seen some sort of info on the rapidly growing Wii hacking community. For months now users have been able to run home-made games (aka Homebrew) on their consoles using an exploit found in the game The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
However, coder Bushing (who discovered the Zelda exploit) has just uncovered a security flaw in the Wii's current firmware, which actually allows ISOs (or illegal copies of games) to run WITHOUT installing a modchip. Obviously, this is the last thing Nintendo wants people doing, so Bushing has taken a rare move for the better. He's actually not going to publically reveal how the flaw could be used, and contacting Nintendo to fix the problem!
While some of you may be disappointed, it's really for the better of the homebrew community altogether. By doing this, Nintendo will realize that the overall goal is NOT to run illegal games, but to promote legal homebrew.
Anyhoo, you can read the letter Bushing has publically given to Nintendo at the link below.
*Sigh* i haven't been looking forward to this. Over my holidays my internet screwed up, and i was genuenly pleased. It meant i could play my DS and Wii etc, without worring about updating this site with news. But there comes a time when i must do things i don't want to do.
Anyway, on the 14th of July, (15th for me, but anyway) micrsoft revealed their game lineup for the Xbox360 and PC. You can find the lineup here, because there is no way I'm going through and listing every game here.
You'll notice a few interesting titles, but one that caught my eye, was the bit about "Final Fantasy XIII Last Advent". Yes! It seems the reasons to buy a PS3 have just become even less than before with its "exclusive" game now to be released on the Xbox360 on the same day as the PS3 version.
This is good news for me as i can never cough up enough money to buy a PS3.
Then you'll see "Resident Evil 5" even though the series has over 10 games at this point in time. Gears of War 2, Saints Row 2, BanjoKazooie Nuts and Bolts and so on. So Microsofts E3 lineup wasn't too bad after all. I wonder how Nintendo and Sony plan to top it? I'll be sleeping when it all happens. (It should be about 4.00pm in America and 2.00am in Australia when it does happen)
Edit- Well now sonys and Nintendo's conferences have happened. In my opinion? Maybe 1 game i even SLIGHTLY cared about.
Anyway for nintendo's conference (click the link above it will take you to all 3) They revealed, Wii Sports Resort and Wii motion add on bundle, GTA for DS, Wii Music, Spore for DS, Animal Crossing+Wii Speak bundle, Shaun White Snowboarding, Star Wars Clone Wars, Call od Duty World at War, Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party and thats about it. So in my opinion? Disappointing, i wanted, well you guys should know what i wanted. Whatever on to Sony!
Sonys Conference basically had Resistance: Fall of man 2, a new autumn PS2 bundle which will include Lego Batman, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty(Downloadable game), Crash Commando, Fat Princess, PixelJunk Eden, Pain Amusement Park, Flower, the Resident Evil-esque Siren Blood Curse, and Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic(All downloadable games), Resistance: Retribution(PSP) Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Oh Jesus help me! This stuff is banana's!
Forget it, the only thing that you really need to know is that there will be a $399 80GB PS3 and God of War III bundle. End of story.
Oh yeah about G-spin, i have some new songs to add, and will HOPEFULLY add them by the end of the week. That's all for now folks!
Oh and i will be updating this post as the E3 continues.
With the seemingly disappointing E3 conference coming up later this month, it may seem that it won't be as lacking as we think! Finally, after years of curiosity, it seems as though the new Animal Crossing game for the Wii platform is to be unveiled at E3 2008.
You may be asking, "how do we know this?!". Well, you can thank ONM (Official Nintendo Magazine) online editor, Tom East, for that.
Quote:
Those of you who have read the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine should already know that Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference.
Now if that's not proof enough for you, then maybe you don't even need Animal Crossing at all, you cruel, cruel being. Just kidding of course. So I guess all we can do back is hold on to our seats until E3 rolls around, spilling all the beans on the future of Animal Crossing for Wii.
Apparently the Brawl team had to take out a bit of content in order to have Brawl ready in time. Now theres consideration for not exactly a sequel but a Brawl 2.0 in a few years.
What a stud
Quote:
“It’s taken over three years to make Brawl but I actually stopped trying to include new ideas early on in development.
What happened in the next year and a half was that we distilled the game down, worked out which ideas we had time to include and which we didn’t. Sadly, we had to trim out many great concepts just to keep within the time contraints. I had a lot more characters, for example.. but sadly I can’t discuss which ones didn’t make it.
There are 39 characters in the game this time around and just adding a few more wouldn’t be enough to justify a new game in my opinion; I’d have to draw a line in the sand and have a new approach to make it worthwhile. As long as the fans enjoy it, though, that’s what matters and in the distant future, I guess that might be something I have to consider.”
So guys, prepare in a few years for a newer version of Brawl with new characters guaranteed and expected new features, possibly improved WiFi system, it is not yet know if this game would be developed for Nintendo Wii or for the next console in which Nintendo will develop.

It would be pretty neat to get a semi-new Smash Bros. Even though it seems most normal people are over Brawl at this point.
Well unless your blind, are wearing blinders, or just maybe colour blind you could probably tell that the website has a new look. I didn't make it Sponge did, i'm just telling you about it just in case you were freaking out. You can change the site back to normal anytime, so don't worry if you don't like it.
Incidentally there are also some new songs on the MP3 player. 2 are from Apollo Justice and 2 from the Mario Kart games.
-Examination (Moderate)
-Questioning Trance Logic
-Mario Kart Wii Mapel Treeway
-Mario Kart 64 Days End
Anyway i will probably add some more songs over the week seeing as it's finally school holidays here (hurrah!). The songs will be from the Ace Attorney series mind you. Why? Because they are the gods of the DS is why (in story and music).
