This Autumn in Japan a new Pokemon game will be released titled, "Pokemon Platinum".
Edit: Now we also have 2 crystal clear pictures and an official sprite:
This pretty much confirms it. As you can see, some new things will be employed, such as Giratina's Origin form (from Pokemon Movie 11) being the "final boss" instead of Dialga or Palkia. We also see a new (or alternative) outfit for the Trainer.
Well that's really all the "confirmed" info so far. Let's look forward to a new Pokemon game!
With all of the hype about WiiWare going around, it'd probably be a good idea to start sorting out your Wii Points for whatever games you plan on buying. But which games can we plan on seeing tomorrow, the release of WiiWare? Lucky for us, Nintendo has just released an official launch title list of games.
So here's the entire list of launch titles, sorted by the costs.
500 Wii Points Defend Your Castle
700 Wii Points Pop
VIP Casino: Blackjack
1,000 Wii Points LostWinds
TV Show King
1,500 Wii Points Final Fantasy Chystal Chronicle: My Life As A King
So yeah, no Pokemon Ranch or Dr. Mario release dates yet, but we'll be sure to let you know when more titles come out into the US market.
Okay, guys, there have been many threads going up on the front page that do not belong there and have been moved to a more appropriate section. I am addressing everyone with this message, mods and members alike.
A post only belongs on the front page if:
it pertains to a major game release.
This means the article is a well-documented story about a major game release. It's pretty self-explanatory. Posts like this should include screens of the game (it would be best if they didn't have watermarks), videos of the game (it would be best if they were of your experiences), and a decent (that means not copy+pasted) story written in your own words. A pretty decent example of this would be The Primagen's GTA IV article. He was updating us on a major game release, had pictures (though watermarked), and wrote it in his own words (quoting when neccessary). Some gameplay footage would have been nice, but seeing as the game is brand new, it's ok.
it is Game-Spin.com news.
These posts are usually be put up by Sponge or me and contain information regarding Game-Spin.com. Again, pretty self-explanatory.
_______
Remember that we as a community want to keep Game-Spin.com looking appealing to gamers, so make an effort to keep the site looking professional and "clean-cut", if you know what I mean.
Also, members, please don't go posting threads about games and complaining for them to be moved to the front page. If a thread is front-page-worthy it will probably be moved to the news section.
Yep, starting a story with those five letters piqued your interest like nothing else could.
Well, it seems that GTA IV, is as good (If not better) than anyone could ever dreamed..
In now joins the ranks of the incredibly rare 10/10 perfect score games from IGN, Only a few games have ever received this distinct honor and believe me, they deserved it (OoT anyone?)
In fact, IGN claims right in the review that, and I quote:
"Without question, Grand Theft Auto IV is the best game since Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time"
The video review also starts with the words:
"Gta four is the best game I have played in the last ten years"
Wow... well how good is this behemoth? take a look at review scores for yourself.

In my humble opinion, there are many ridiculously overrated games *COUGH*halo*COUGH* but this could seriously be the real deal.
Mkay, so I've had quite the fun with my laptop for the past 24 hours. Silly ol' me decided it would be fun to try to install Mepis (a version of Linux) that would dual-boot with my current Vista installation. Worked fine, until I tried to get back into Vista.
That's where the fun started.
So first, the OS wouldn't boot at all. So I fiddled with the boot manager that came with Linux, GRUB. So now I can see Vista starting up. From there, the little cursor appears, and then....nuffin. Nothing happens.
I've tried every option under the sun, and nothing works. System restore doesn't detect any save points (even though they're there), Startup repair says it doesn't know WTF to do, and on top of all that, Mepis doesn't even work right anymore! Hooray!
So I'm currently running Mepis off of a CD, and using it's included Firefox to type this. I really hope that I don't have to wipe my hard drive again (don't worry, all of my stuff is pretty much on my external), because it's a real pain getting back to where I was.
So if I'm not on for a while, that's my excuse. Wish me luck with this whole situation. I really hope I can get things sorted out over the next few days.
Well, good news for all of you Europeans out there, as Nintendo of Europe has finally unveiled the long-awaited release date for Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
Yep, just about three months after the initial release in the United States, Brawl will be hitting shelves all over Europe on...
June 27, 2008
Of course, while that's still a good two months away from now, it's never too early to start breaking out the piggy banks, because if you're like us in the US, you'll be sure to love duking it out with your friends for no particular reason.
With the vBulletin software we're using about to be released into its first Gold edition (that is, first stable version), we will we updating Game-Spin accordingly. It is estimated that within the next week or so, we will be closed for possibly up to a day or two to get this update fully applied. Hopefully it won't take that long, but I just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.
So yeah, that, and I've added an Off Topic forum. Can't believe no one asked me about that.
Mario kart just came out in japan and it looks pretty hectic at the moment,
I will post review scores along with new info about the game here.
Firstly, the reviews are almost all positive.
Official Nintendo Magazine 94%
Games Master UK 91%
Eurogamer 8/10
Famitsu 37/40
NGamer 88%
Nintendo Power 9/10
Edge 6/10
IGN 8.9/10 editors choice award.
Although they aren't all happy, A common criticism is the fact that Battle mode can now only be played in teams; no free-for-all option is offered. This removes the 'last man standing' element of previous Mario Kart Battle modes. The mode is also now score-based and played against the clock, resulting in no penalty from losing all three balloons.
The graphics are bright and inviting in this installment.
Another notable event is that when the servers went online, they were almost immediately assaulted by trolls and hackers, giving themselves high scores and times that are normally not possible to legitimately receive.
Something Savato Might find cool is the fact that Rainbow road is in, and it includes aspects from Super Mario Galaxy such as star bits, sling stars etc.
Bikes are mostly agreed upon by all publications to be a solid, fun new aspect of the game and aren't "dead weight" as some thought they would be.
Holy crap!
Another slightly more prominent complaint with the game is the fact that since the levels were designed for huge online races, playing locally with 3 other people feels kinda lonely at times.
But it looks pretty fun to me!
What do you guys think? It comes out here a few days before you get it so If I get to play it, I'll drop more first hand details.

Well, I received my new copy of Nintendo Power today, and to my surprise, they actually have a good page worth of new details on the game, including some new info on the surgeons, diseases, and everything a good doctor needs to know.
Nothing much else to say, so I'll let the article do the talking for me. Check out the attached scan below for the whole scoop. You can expect Trauma Center: Under The Knife 2 for the Nintendo DS to hit shelves this summer!
